What being on it actually means.

How to read the CFTC warnings, what our collection covers, and where to check a firm. Explained by Snyfer using the official sources below.

Understanding the CFTC warnings

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission uses its Registration Deficient List for foreign entities that solicit US customers while appearing to require CFTC registration.

Read the official RED List

Name and web address

Each row retains the entity name and the web address published together on its individual CFTC RED List page.

Registration status

A RED List entry indicates an apparent registration deficiency. It is not a court finding or a CFTC conclusion that a legal violation occurred.

Check before paying

The CFTC recommends checking registration before opening an account or sending money, even when an entity is absent from the RED List.

The RED List is a registration-warning resource, not a complete list of every potentially harmful provider.

Check authorisation or registration

Use the CFTC registration and disciplinary-history check to verify the entity independently.

Reporting and complaint guidance

Suspected fraud or unregistered activity can be reported through the CFTC complaint portal.

From an official warning to a Snyfer analysis

Use the archive to open the original notice and the domain's Snyfer page. Where scan results and network matches are available, they add technical context. Those matches are Snyfer's analysis; they are not additional findings attributed to CFTC.

What the archive shows.

  • Snyfer currently tracks 42 notices published by CFTC.
  • Those notices name 29 distinct domains, an average of 0.7 per notice.
  • The most recent notice we hold from CFTC is dated May 29, 2025. We log notices as they are published and do not track removals, so this archive is a record of what was filed, not of what is listed today.

The notices themselves, newest first.

Every row links to CFTC's own published notice, so nothing here has to be taken on our word.
