The list

What being on it
actually means.

How to read the BCSC warnings, what our collection covers, and where to check a firm. Explained by Snyfer using the official sources below.

Understanding the BCSC warnings

The BCSC Investment Caution List warns people in British Columbia about entities that may pose a risk. A firm can be included for more than one reason.

Read the official Investment Caution List

Unregistered services

Some entries concern entities that are not registered to provide investment services or opportunities.

Signs of fraud

Other entries concern investment promotions showing signs of fraud. Read the notice for the evidence and concern described.

Impersonation

The list also covers copied identities and names resembling those of authorised firms.

The BCSC cautions that other risky entities may not yet be known to it. Absence from this list is not an assurance of safety.

From an official warning to a Snyfer analysis

Use the archive to open the original notice and the domain's Snyfer page. Where scan results and network matches are available, they add technical context. Those matches are Snyfer's analysis; they are not additional findings attributed to BCSC.

The numbers

What the archive
shows.

  • Snyfer currently tracks 303 notices published by BCSC.
  • Those notices name 362 distinct domains, an average of 1.2 per notice.
  • June 2026 was the busiest month, with 240 notices.
  • Over the last year that is about 31 warnings a month, counting one per domain named.
  • 5.0 percent of the domains BCSC has named are grouped under Veltrix Markets.
  • 9 groups were still being flagged in the three months to Aug 10, 2026.
  • The most recent notice we hold from BCSC is dated Sep 8, 2026. We log notices as they are published and do not track removals, so this archive is a record of what was filed, not of what is listed today.

Clusters

Names that travel
together.

Domains BCSC has named that share technical traits with one another. A regulator names firms one at a time; the infrastructure they share is ours to see.

Every row links to BCSC's own published notice, so nothing here has to be taken on our word.
