The list

What being on it
actually means.

How to read the FCA warnings, what our collection covers, and where to check a firm. Explained by Snyfer using the official sources below.

Understanding the FCA warnings

The UK FCA Warning List names firms and individuals it is concerned are operating without its permission. Some warnings identify businesses impersonating an authorised firm.

Unauthorised activity

Check the permission for the actual service being offered, not just whether a similar company name exists.

Clone firms

Match the exact website and contact details. A clone warning concerns the impersonator, not the genuine authorised firm.

Not on the list?

The FCA says a firm may still be unauthorised or a scam even when it has not yet appeared on the list.

The numbers

What the archive
shows.

  • Snyfer currently tracks 4,570 notices published by FCA.
  • Those notices name 5,376 distinct domains, an average of 1.2 per notice.
  • July 2026 was the busiest month, with 352 notices.
  • Over the last year that is about 222 warnings a month, counting one per domain named.
  • 2.8 percent of the domains FCA has named are grouped under Veltrix Markets.
  • 8 groups were still being flagged in the three months to Aug 27, 2026.
  • The most recent notice we hold from FCA is dated Sep 9, 2026. We log notices as they are published and do not track removals, so this archive is a record of what was filed, not of what is listed today.

Clusters

Names that travel
together.

Domains FCA has named that share technical traits with one another. A regulator names firms one at a time; the infrastructure they share is ours to see.

The archive

The notices themselves,

Every row links to FCA's own published notice, so nothing here has to be taken on our word.
